After a long search, You have chosen turkey to continue your medical career, but you are lost and have no idea where to start? This article is going to put you on the road and end your wandering.
First Step: Turkish VISA
First, you have to get a Turkish visa so that you can reach turkey and start your medical degree equalization. There are three ways to get a visa. Here are the types of visa you can get:
Tourist visa
You can make it through many offices in Gaza but it is expensive and risky since it usually gets rejected by Egypt when traveling from Gaza through the Rafah crossing.
University visa
You get this type of visa through having a Turkish University admission, which can be obtained through an office in Gaza. This will cost about 800 dollars, or you can get in a cheaper price through your relatives and friends in Turkey.
Language Visa
Visiting any Tomer website is the first step, which is a language institute subordinate to a Turkish university, fill the application which costs about 600 dollars (this includes the cost of the first level at the institute) then get the acceptance letter and the fees receipt. Finally, contact the Turkish consulate in Jerusalem or an office in Gaza to get a visa.
If your visa gets rejected, do not worry, you will not lose the money. You can contact the Tomer and get 400 dollars out of 600 back.
Now you have to wait about 90 days to get your visa.
Second Step: Paperwork
Waiting is BORING, so in the time till you get your visa, you have some paperwork to do.
There are many documents that you will need to certify and translate to Turkish before you leave your home country. Can you do it in turkey? Of course you can, but to save time and money, do it in your home country.
FIRST: Get a copy of your certificate and university transcript. SECOND: Send them with the original ones and with your university Courses Description through an office to the Turkish council in your country. THIRD: The office will certify them from the official institutions in your country, translate them to Turkish, and verify them from the Turkish consultant in your country. FOURTH: you are done
What is a university courses description?
It is a description of all the courses you took at medical school stating what are the topics and outlines learnt at each course.
Having these documents before you travel will save time since you will be able to start your medical certification process faster when you reach turkey. So, you are on the right track.
