All rotations are four weeks long, and each student is limited to two different rotations.

Due to the high volume of requests, rotations during August through October are more competitive.

Check their course availability.
Priority in scheduling is given first to their own medical school students and affiliate students, other U.S. medical students and international students who are enrolled in an accredited medical school.

All medical students requesting clinical rotations must apply through the elective program.

Explore the elective options for visiting medical student clerkships at Mayo Clinic’s campuses in Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota.

The Visiting Clerkship Program (VCP) provides support for fourth-year and qualified third-year medical students, especially those from groups underrepresented in medicine (URiM) as defined by the AAMC to participate in the Harvard Medical School (HMS) Exchange Clerkship Program. The VCP is sponsored by the Minority Faculty Development Program of the Harvard Medical School Office for Diversity Inclusion and Community Partnership.

The Visiting Medical Student Program enriches both Duke University School of Medicine and the visiting medical student. Applicants must be in good academic standing, receive academic credit by the home school for the visiting student experience, and be actively progressing toward a Doctor of Medicine degree at an affiliated LCME accredited institution, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at an affiliated COCA accredited institution, or an approved/affiliated international institution.  All visiting student requests must be approved by the Visiting Student Coordinator.  Visiting medical students must adhere to the Duke School of Medicine academic calendar.

Follow these six steps to apply for the KU School of Medicine Clinical Electives Program for international students studying medicine.

The Clinical Electives Program helps international students gain practical, hands-on medical skills in a clinical setting while training alongside our KU School of Medicine faculty.
