Chevening Interviews Tips
  • Prepare well. You have to be well prepared for the interview, search and read a lot to enhance your background to be ready for any topic you could be asked about and read about the UK’s history, geography, and culture related to your field of study. Get educated about the university and city you’ve chosen to study in. read your statement or essay earlier to the interview and prepare for the questions to be asked by the interviewer. You must know about your course and must be able to prove your passion for it.
Chevening Interviews Tips
  • Practice well. You should be ready and practice well what you’ve prepared but do not memorize every letter of your answers as it would be obvious to the interviewers and doesn’t inflect a good impression. Be smart and unique with your answers. Don’t be monotonous during the interview, vary your tone, and be authentic. Practice your English speaking with people who are good English speakers or even native speakers if available to avoid making crucial mistakes during the interview as it would negatively affect your results.

  • Sleep well. It’s important to be well rested and hydrated the day of the interview, thus sleeping well and being prepared helps with a great mentality and increases your confidence.
  •  Be accurate and precise about your career plans to relate your plans with your home country’s realities and field of study.
  • Be confident about your values, and achievements, even about small leadership projects, and show that you made a great difference in your community.
  • Dress up appropriately and make eye contact with the interviewer.
  • Ask That Last Question. They will give you the chance to ask them a question/questions at the end of the interview, and you should ask a smart question so that they can remember you. Don’t ask conventional questions and don’t ask about things that are easily known by searching for their answers.
