Internship doctors are subject to the instructions of the Jordanian Medical Council regarding the duration of the training and their distribution to departments. The training program is based on the following:

  • Internship doctors are accepted according to the lists that are agreed upon with the Jordanian Medical Council for Jordanian doctors at the beginning of July of each year.
  • The Director General may accept the training of internship physicians outside the lists sent by the Jordanian Medical Council upon a written request submitted for this purpose and upon the recommendation of the Medical Director.
  • The Director General may accept the training of non-Jordanian internship doctors based on a written request submitted for this purpose and upon the recommendation of the Medical Director, provided that their training is against payment of the fees prescribed by the Board of Directors.

Resident salary: No salary is paid to a non-Jordanian resident.

Registration is within the postgraduate program (higher specialization in medicine) of the University of Science and Technology and the fees are paid to the university, from which the names of those accepted are sent to the hospital to open training files and human resources files for each trainee. A medical certificate from the Ministry of Higher Education in Jubaiha (100 dinars and must be renewed annually), a medical examination, and a union subscription (100 dinars to be renewed annually) and goes to the Ministry of Health to practice the profession and must be renewed annually. in the country and renewed annually.

Clinical training will be at King Abdullah Founder Hospital, which is the University of Science and Technology Hospital and is located within its campus near the town of Ramtha.
