About the scholarship

In light of the ongoing humanitarian, financial, and access challenges faced by Palestinian students, the Humanitarian Scholarship for Displaced Palestinians offers a vital opportunity to pursue postgraduate education in the United Kingdom at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. This scholarship is designed to support Palestinian students who face significant barriers to higher education by providing comprehensive financial assistance for Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s programmes (excluding MBA and PGDE).

  • Financial support includes: Tuition fees, accommodation, living costs, and travel expenses
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants may be considered if they meet the following requirements:

  • Hold Palestinian ID or travel documents
  • Be classified as an Overseas (International) student for fee purposes
  • Have applied to and received an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught programme at the University of Strathclyde
  • Be able to benefit from single-occupancy accommodation during their studies
  • Priority is given to applicants who do not currently hold a Master’s degree or have never studied outside Palestine.
Eligible Fields of Study

The scholarship covers a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to: Health, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering (all branches), Computer Science, Data Analytics, Law, International Relations, Psychology, Social Policy, Social Work, Education, Sustainability, Renewable Energy, and other scientific and humanities fields offered by the University.

Selection Criteria

Applications are assessed by a scholarship panel based on:

  • How the chosen programme aligns with the applicant’s career goals
  • The direct impact of the scholarship on the applicant’s ability to take up the offer of study
  • The applicant’s academic readiness, commitment, and potential to successfully complete the programme
